History & Philosophy

         Sasatorn Coffee company takes the name from the co-founder named "Sasatorn Srithongkul" who began as a coffee producer in 2015, sourcing fresh coffee green beans direct from coffee plantation in Northern Thailand. Today, our company still operates out of this location, and we've grown a bit, in large part due to our delicated supporters and steadfast coffee producers and the company has grown because of the dedicated and excellent staff too.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           "Sasatorn coffee is a specialty coffee driven by a desire to produce an exceptional artistic, creative and unpretentious brew. it is a brainchild of collaborative work with coffee farmers, roasters, and baristas that delivers a greatly improved and more enjoyable total coffee experience. We are proud to serve and support 100% Thai Arabica from different coffee plantations in Northern Thailand that we work with."

THA WANG PHA, Nan Province

Mr. Krit was born and raised in Yoa Mien mountain in Ban San Charoen, In a valley between the mountain on the border Nan and Payoa province. In the past, this area was famous for Poppy fields. Moreover, Mr.Krit who is one of Yao coffee plantation owners organizes tours of the coffee plantations with explanation of the coffee bean productions with explanation of the coffee bean production & hiking into the mountains. A great way of experiencing authentic local life of the mountain people nowadays. 

KHUN CHANG KHIAN, Chiangmai Province

Mr. Chatree Zaeyang is a descendant of Khun Chang Khain village who struggled in a big city career competition, so he decided to go back and develop coffee in the village. To create value in the community, he strive to make a quality coffee remembering that King Rama 9 had promoted the village as a coffee plantation. That mean that he sees the importance of coffee growers in this area. The result of his determination have caused many people o pay attention to the coffee more and more. Coffee could help to create community job and build and career for its descendant.

PANGKHON, Chiangrai Province

The coffee producer, Mr. Seanchai Jupoa, took the 9th place of Thailand Specialty Coffee Awards 2019. His coffee philosophy is about "back to basic" which is his belief about paying attention developing and understanding coffee cultivars, environment, landscape and the nature of coffee cherry from roots to fruits. Also, he is and inventor of the coffee process as he has been trying to process coffee into different ways in order to express the best outcome in quality of specialty Arabica coffee.

Our Baristas Mission

care.

We hand-pick our baristas for their skill, passion and above all, their willingness to continually fine tune their craft. We believe that, in a truly accomplished barista, skill must go hand-in-hand with knowledge. The ability to make a good Cappuccino alone is inadequate if not informed by an awareness of all aspects of the coffee making processes; the long journey a bean take from crop to cup. Our baristas are regularly trained with this in mind.
